The Polish Book Institute will showcase selected books, including fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and graphic novels, under the title 'Books from Poland.' In addition, influential children's literature author Iwona Chmielewska and renowned non-fiction writer Paweł Pieniążek are invited to Taiwan. They will engage with readers, sharing the texture and distinctive features of Polish literature.

A world-renowned illustrator and writer, creator of award-winning picture books published, among others, by: in South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico and Germany. A three-time winner of the "illustrator's Oscar", the Bologna Ragazzi Award, and a three-time finalist of the Bologna Ragazzi Award. Hans Christian Andersen in the graphic category.
Born in 1960. She graduated in graphics from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She lives and works there: she teaches Author's Books at the Faculty of Fine Arts. She is the winner of many international awards. The most important of them are the Golden Apple at the Biennale of Illustrations in Bratislava for Thinking ABC, a book that teaches Korean children English through images, and the illustration Oscar, i.e. Bologna Ragazzi Award for Eyes, a visually poetic story about exploring the world through the senses .
She is the only Polish author who has her fan club in South Korea. She returns there often and willingly, conducts classes with students in Seoul, and meets with readers who, thanks to her, learned a lot about Polish culture and the history of Toruń, the hero of one of her books.

He is a contributor to major Polish media, including Tygodnik Powszechny, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Opinni, and New Eastern Europe, and is a freelance contributor to Polish radio. In 2015 he was named as a Poynter Fellow in Journalism at Yale University. His work Resistance. Ukrainians Against the Russian Invasion (Opór. Ukraińcy wobec rosyjskiej inwazji) is published in Taiwan by Acropolis Publishing.
