Korean trends have caught the world’s attention, including music, fashion, food, literature, drama, anime, comics, and games. At the 2020 TIBE, we have invited Korean publishing professionals to share their trends, their reading preferences, the challenges they face, and how they will cope with them. The topics will cover a wide range, from popular genres and English learning to children’s publications. We hope to provide a deeper understanding of the Korean publishing industry, and encourage interactions between Taiwanese and international professionals.

SK Liu CEO of E*PUBLIC that exports A-List brand English textbooks abroad, former Executive Director (International Affairs), Korean Publishers Association, Vice Chairman of Korea Publisher Society. E*PUBLIC aims to enter the global market by publishing A-List brand English textbooks for different age groups (from toddlers to adults) “New Attempts at English Education Publication in the Digital Age” English education publication by introducing AI. How will English education change in the digital age? Can AI replace teachers? New attempts at self-learning with AI, and the world's first AI-based learning method. |

Iroo Joo Participating in the publication industry as an editor of cultural magazines in the early 1990s, he has served as the representative of Moonji Publishing Company, one of Korea's leading literature publishing companies. Currently, he is the publisher of scientific magazine Epi, and the representative of Eum Publishing Company. In addition, as the Executive Director (International Affairs), Korean Publishers Association, he directs the Seoul International Book Fair and Korean pavilions at the International Book Fairs. He participates in the International Publishers Association on behalf of Korea Publishers Association. “Current Status and Challenges of the Korean Publishing Industry” Korea's publication industry is one of the top 10 in the world in terms of size, variety and level. International exchanges in the field of publication have been strengthened due to K-pop culture. The speaker will measure the size and trends of the Korean publication industry. |
