LOVE is a contemporary Thai dance performance inspired by a poetic passage from The Merchant of Venice, translated by King Rama VI: “Where does love begin—in the heart or in the mind?” Blending traditional Thai dance with modern elements—music, visuals, and spoken word in Thai, English, and Mandarin—the piece explores the mystery and emotion of love. Key words and verses appear through projections, narration, and costume design, accompanied by live Phin (Thai lute) and percussion, creating a poetic and immersive experience in celebration of the month of love.
